About

This is Mi-Shell’s Tarot Blog.

Musings about Tarot, Tarot decks, specific cards or readings will be posted here,

rather than on my main blog, Shamanic Drum

http://shamanicdrumm.wordpress.com/
Since January 2012 I have written quite a bit about myself and my work as a practising shaman and shamanic artist on these pages and so if you want to find out more about me  it is a good idea to read a little in there.

There are also posts about Tarot and eventually i will create links from these pages here, so you can find them easier.

Most of my shamanic Drum readers are interested in my life and work as a shaman and over the last few months I have received “mutterings, that they are not subscribing, in order, to not get all my Tarot related posts.

Lately this has kept me from posting about my workings with my “Deck of the Month” and my working with certain other decks. 😦

On the other side of the spectrum, I have a quite a few readers and Tarot clients that are only interested in my writings about the cards, Tarot, Oracle and also other divination systems but they do not much care for me describing in detail, how I “wave around this or that Owl feather to get rid of…. “

You get the drift. …. 🙂

This now has prompted me to separate the 2 areas of interest into 2 blogs.

Welcome to

The Voice Within the Cards 🙂

  1. Hi Mi-Shell,

Sorry to bother you, but I have an owl story and I don’t know what it means.

Three years ago, while walking in a ravine I heard a hooting sound continually… I felt it was calling me. I finally came face to face with a small owl perched in a tree. I looked into it’s eyes – it wasn’t frightened and we spent a good five minutes looking into each other’s eyes.

The next day I returned to the ravine and meditated. When I opened my eyes, I saw a tawny owl feather next to me. I thought, well that’s something! I took it home, and put it in a special box and hold it every once in a while.

Basically I’d like to know if the owl feather has come into my life to protect me or to give me a warning. What do you think?

Today is the full moon (Aug. 29) and I found another owl feather. What does this mean?

Then again, a month ago I found two hawk feathers a week apart. Is there any significance to this?

I’m very fond of feathers and also have swan feathers.

Any input from you would be appreciated.

    All the best,

    Chi

    • Hi Chi!
I think 3 years ago you might have encountered a Northern Saw Whet Owl. They are not fearful and allow humans to approach quite closely. We had one here every day sitting on the grip of a garden shovel and sleeping in the sun. We could go right up to it and maybe it would open 1 eye….
Also, with Owls and Hawks around you will find feathers! These magnificent Birds moult twice a year and especially at places where they roost, you can find feathers. Keep them as talismans for good luck. You can read a lot more about Owls in my shamanic blog, here, https://shamanicdrumm.wordpress.com/2012/02/09/134/
This is a post about me and Owls
I also work with hawks and Hawk feathers and a lot of my artwork is on the “Shamanic Drum” blog.
Hawk stands for East, Morning, discernment and courage.
Owl stands for shamanic wisdom, trance, the flight into death and back to bring knowledge of a cure and wisdom of healing.
      All the Best to you!
      Mi-Shell

  2. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my email.
A lot of paranormal activity around me for the last 4 years. For example, after praying and asking for a sign, hundreds of bluejays appeared around me. I’ve never seen them other than on that day. People who were passing on the trail commented on how wonderful it was.
    Anyway, thanks again!

    Chi
